A pillar of the West Coast scene, Michael Gunson aka Mike Midnight has emerged as a shining light in downtempo, trip-hop, illbient and tech house. Featuring on Index Records, Theory Therapy, Pure Space FM and most recently on physical with his debut 12” on Southern Exposure Records taken from the self-released digital EP ‘Angel Hours’ in 2022.
Defined by a meticulous approach to composition, production, art direction and presentation of his work, every release encapsulates Mike’s unique vision, connecting threads from early influences such as grime and dubstep right through to more recent explorations.
